Yes. Happy Hounds Cornwall is fully insured, giving you additional peace of mind while your dog or pet is in our care.

We offer both group dog walks and solo dog walks in St Austell and surrounding areas. We can recommend the most suitable option depending on your dog's personality, confidence, energy levels and individual needs.

Our standard dog walks are approximately 50–70 minutes, giving your hound plenty of opportunity for exercise, enrichment, sniffing and exploring.

Yes. Our group walks are kept small, with a maximum of four dogs. We consider each dog's personality, behaviour and energy levels when deciding whether a group walk is suitable.

Absolutely. Solo walks are ideal for dogs who prefer their own space, need individual attention or aren't suited to walking as part of a group. The walk can be tailored around your dog's individual pace and needs.

Yes. Our puppy drop-in visits can provide company, toilet breaks, feeding, playtime and plenty of attention while you're away from home.As your puppy gets older and is ready for walks, we can discuss which dog walking option would suit them best.

Yes. We provide pet sitting and house sitting in St Austell and surrounding areas, allowing your pets to remain comfortable in their familiar home environment while you're away.

Yes. Our house and pet sitting service is designed for owners who would prefer their pets to stay at home while they're away. We'll discuss your pets' normal routine, feeding, walks and individual requirements before the booking.

Yes. We're happy to discuss care for multi-dog households, and additional-dog pricing is available for selected services. Let us know how many dogs you have when making your enquiry.

A bit of Cornish rain doesn't automatically stop the walks! We generally continue in normal British weather, but your dog's safety and wellbeing always come first.During extreme heat, storms or other unsafe conditions, we may shorten, rearrange or adapt a walk where appropriate.

Yes. We like to arrange an initial meet and greet so we can meet you and your hound before their care begins.It's an opportunity to learn about their personality, routine, behaviour and individual requirements, while also giving you the chance to ask any questions.

We'll ask about things such as your dog's routine, temperament, behaviour around other dogs and people, recall, feeding requirements, health and medical needs.The more we know about your hound, the better we can tailor their care.

Off-lead walking would only take place where it has been agreed with the owner and we believe it is appropriate and safe for the individual dog.We may choose to use a lead or long line whenever we feel this is the safer option.

We may be able to administer medication where this has been discussed and agreed in advance. Please tell us about any medication or medical requirements when making your enquiry so we can discuss your pet's individual needs.

Your dog's welfare will always come first. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your nominated emergency contact straight away.If urgent veterinary treatment is required and we cannot reach you, we may seek veterinary assistance in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.

For puppy visits, pet sitting, house sitting and other services requiring access to your property, we'll agree suitable access arrangements with you beforehand.Any keys or access information provided to Happy Hounds Cornwall will be treated carefully and used only for providing the agreed service.

Yes. One of the advantages of caring for your pet in their own home is that we can keep things as familiar and consistent as possible.We'll discuss feeding, walks, medication, sleeping arrangements and other parts of their normal routine before your booking.

For regular dog walks, we'd recommend getting in touch as soon as you know the days you're likely to need.For pet sitting and house sitting, booking early is particularly recommended for weekends, school holidays and other busy periods.

We understand that plans sometimes change and ask that you give us as much notice as reasonably possible if you need to cancel or rearrange.Cancellation arrangements for pet sitting, house sitting and other reserved services will be discussed when booking.
